Mohan Ramani

Mohan is an experienced entrepreneur who has built and managed companies in the technology, offshore outsourcing, and financial services sectors.  He is currently the Founder and CEO of Leftfield Services BV. At LFS, Mohan is actively involved in developing go-to-market strategies with clients.  He is also an evangelizer for our clients’ products and services, and is actively engaged in directing the execution of the business development and sales efforts on the ground in India. 

He is also the Founder and CEO of Superknowa BV – a rapidly growing provider of highly specialized, niche software development services to organizations in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.

Previously, Mohan founded and served as CEO of a software product company in the emergency communications and management industry.  He has also served as the Senior Vice President for European Operations at a mid-sized American software firm, as Vice-President for Business Development and Sales at a leading Japanese technology products firm, and in Marketing and Product Development roles at a leading US bank w/ over $1 Trillion in assets under management.

Mohan earned an M.A. in International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000.  He graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics and minors in History and International Relations from Ohio University in 1993.  Mohan is a Charter Member of the Pittsburgh chapter of TIE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) – a renowned global organization of entrepreneurs and business leaders of South Asian origin.
Paul Schröder

Paul Schröder (1954) has over 25 years of international experience in the Venture Capital World. Previously he was senior investment manager at Atlas Ventures and after that, Managing Partner at Inter Crown Investments (Corporate Venture Capital Company of the Royal Dutch KPN). Paul started in 1997 with Residentie Investments, putting over € 400 million to work over the years in direct and indirect funds. Until 2005 he was the CEO and President of the Residex Venture Capital Network and until July 2002 he served as Chairman of the Dutch Venture Capital Association (NVP).

He also co-founded and served as a Supervisory Board Member for Life Sciences Partners Funds and the P3 Technology Fund and was on the board of former portfolio companies like SNT and Bibit.

Marijn Driessen

Marijn Driessen (1970) is an experienced strategic marketer. She has worked in international sales and marketing roles with P&L responsibilities and as a consultant to regional and country management. Her special interest lies in business model innovation for international growth strategies. Marijn has a relentless curiosity for finding new ways to deliver value and developing new sources of revenue for our clients.

As a Dutch citizen, Marijn spent most of her professional life abroad, including Asia, the USA and Europe. She believes abiding by triple P (People, Planet, Profit) is a prerequisite for doing business. Her career started in Hong Kong in 1996 in the technology sector when internet applications were just emerging. She gained experience in marketing roles in TMT converging industries (IBM e-businesss, Tridion, Vodafone/Vivendi) and as a strategic consultant in Automotive and Financial Services (Toyota, Lexus, Toyota Financial Services, MasterCard).

Marijn feels at ease in both entrepreneurial and MNC environments. From early childhood, Marijn has a passion for sailing.

Marijn is the founder of FluidNations. In this capacity she interviews remarkable marketing leaders about their challenges to apply innovation. The resulting patterns of success are captured in Next Marketing Studies.
Jane Wertz

Jane has over 10 years B2B and B2C strategic marketing experience in the EMEA telecoms sector working in both corporate and operations roles. Recently, she was the Head of Customer Value Management at Vodafone in Ghana, the Director of Marketing for a WiMAX start-up and the Group Manager for Loyalty and Retention at Celtel, now Zain. For Jane, understanding customer needs and the delivery of a superior customer experience sits at the heart of any commercial launch planning and implementation process. Specialized in emerging markets, Jane knows how to build growth and penetration strategies around accessibility, affordability, availability and awareness which deliver on a company's brand promise.

Her areas of expertise include: market segmentation, qualitative/quantitative market research, customer analytics, customer operations, brand management, commercial launch planning and project management. She has worked hand-in-hand with software providers and local marketing, IT and operations teams to successfully roll-out new telecom applications and capabilities in 12 African countries. She understands the realities of emerging markets' operational environments and the challenges operators face. Throughout her career, Jane has been able to both create and capture significant value for the companies with whom she's been associated.

Jane has a BA in Economics from Bryn Mawr College and a Master's in Economics from Michigan State University.
Ro Iyengar

Ro has worked in the software and voice systems sectors for the past 15 years, and in this sector and in the infrastructure sector set up new businesses throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. He has worked with various customers including various Government agencies throughout Asia Pacific and North Asia, and with companies in the financial sector in these regions. He set up and ran international business for Australian companies in the USA, Canada, and the UK and in Asia.

He is experienced business leader, and has a broad range of experience of driving the development of innovative solutions in technology, and establishing new markets for companies in the Asia Pacific. He is consulting to European and Australian companies establishing businesses in the Asia Pacific region.

Ro has a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, and a graduate degree in Finance. He is a member of various international institutes, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ro is a regular speaker at conferences in the Asia region.
